MEDIA ADVISORY: LADWP Completes Groundwater Remediation Facilities in North Hollywood

WHAT:

Mayor Karen Bass and Councilmember Adrin Nazarian, 2nd District, will join the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to celebrate the commissioning of the North Hollywood Central (NHC) and North Hollywood West (NHW) Groundwater Treatment Facilities. The completion of the two facilities is a major milestone in remediating contaminants in the San Fernando Groundwater Basin, the city’s largest local water source. Restoring access to the groundwater is key to meeting the Mayor’s Climate Action Plan.
