WHAT:
Utility line workers from the Western United States will gather for the 2026 Los Angeles Lineman’s Rodeo. This annual skills competition showcases the knowledge, athleticism and commitment to safety that lineworkers demonstrate every day to ensure that reliable power is provided to the city’s nearly 4 million residents.
Hosted each year by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and IBEW Local 18, the Lineman’s Rodeo is a family-friendly event in which journeymen and apprentice lineworker teams compete in challenging obstacles designed to test training, job skills and safety procedures, all while following detailed instructions and complying to time limits. The event is also an opportunity to promote rewarding careers in the electric industry. More information at LADWP.com.
