TV Documentary on LADWP Science Bowl to Air on Two Stations – LA Cityview 35 and KLCS Ch. 58Program Shows High School Teams Preparing for and Competing in Nation’s Largest Science Competition |
LOS ANGELES — A half-hour documentary program showcasing the talents, hard work and knowledge regarding the city’s brightest high school students will air a total of nine times in April on LA Cityview 35 and KLCS Ch. 58.
The program follows four schools preparing for and competing in the LADWP Science Bowl. The winning team will participate at the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. April 26 -30. On LA Cityview 35, the City of Los Angeles cable access station, the program will air: Thursday, April 5, at 1:00 pm. and 6:30 p.m.; Monday, April 9, 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Thursday, April 12, 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Viewers who live outside the Los Angeles city limits or don’t have cable access can view the Ch. 35 broadcast on streaming video by visiting www.lacityview.org. KLCS Ch. 58 will broadcast the program on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m.; and Sunday, April 22 at 2:30 p.m. The LADWP Science Bowl is one of 69 high school regional competitions in 40 states that participate in the National Science Bowl Program. This regional competition covers the Los Angeles Unified School District boundaries but includes charter, private and parochial schools in addition to those that are LAUSD schools. Beginning April 6, viewers can also watch the recorded program on the LA Cityview On Demand Video Library.
