Statement by LADWP Regarding the Office of Public Accountability Report on Proposed Water Rate Action |
December 11, 2015
“We have received the Office of Public Accountability / Ratepayer Advocate’s (RPA) independent review of the proposed water rate action that invests in replacing aging water infrastructure, expands local water supplies and expands our water rate structure from two to four tiers. We are pleased that the Ratepayer Advocate has found that the water rate request is “just and reasonable”. Dr. Pickel’s independent review of the rate request is valuable, and we are reviewing each of his recommendations. We look forward to Dr. Pickel’s forthcoming review of the power rate action and consideration of both water and power rates proposals by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners in the coming weeks and by the City Council and Mayor thereafter.” |
