Streets Reopened to Traffic
LOS ANGELES (January 4, 2019) – LADWP crews have reopened all lanes on Sunset Boulevard and Beaudry Avenue in Echo Park, following the completion of repairs related to the 24-inch water main that ruptured late Wednesday night.
Crews worked through the night to backfill the excavated area and complete the street repaving.
The water main was put back in service and water service fully restored to all affected customers at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. There were no impacts to water quality as a result of the main break.
We appreciate our customers’ patience as we worked to restore service and complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
