LOS ANGELES- The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) reports approximately 2,500 of its 1.4 million electric customers are experiencing power service interruptions as rain and wind have caused outages in several neighborhoods. Working around the clock, LADWP Power System crews have restored electric service to an estimated 50,000 customers since the storm began yesterday.
Cheviot Hills has 2,000 customers without power, with a few smaller scattered outages in the nearby communities of Venice and Palms. LADWP crews continue working around the clock as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
