Power Outage Update

As of 7:00 p.m. Monday
LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) reports approximately 6,700 of its 1.4 million electric customers are experiencing power service interruptions as rain and winds caused outages in several neighborhoods. Working around the clock, LADWP Power System crews have restored electric service to an estimated 68,000 customers since the storm began yesterday.

The following communities had the most number of customers impacted:

  • Watts: 2,300
  • Van Nuys: 600
  • Brentwood: 600
  • West Hills: 500

LADWP crews continue working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

The public and members of the media are encouraged to check the Department’s news site and Twitter page for updates.
