Power Outage Update (10:00 p.m.) |
LOS ANGELES–As LADWP power crews continue to work safely and quickly to restore electricity to customers impacted by power outages, the total number of customers without power as of 10 p.m. tonight is down to 1,400 out of the 1.4 million. Crews continue to repair power equipment damages caused by the windstorm that began yesterday. The winds caused dried out palm fronds, tree branches and other debris to fall and make contact with power lines. Since Monday morning, LADWP crews worked continuously and restored power to more than 53,500 customers.
LADWP urges all customers to use caution around downed or dangling power wires or poles. Always assume a downed line is still energized. Never touch one. Report any downed power lines immediately by calling the LADWP at 1-800-DIAL-DWP. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. For more information about outages, see LADWP’s Twitter page and/or News Page. # # # |
