Public Advised of High Water Levels and Potential Safety Hazards
September 22, 2021 (BISHOP, CA) – Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will release higher-than-normal water down the Owens River Gorge September 22-29, for operational maintenance. No public access will be allowed within the Owens River Gorge from Middle Gorge to the Control Gorge Power Plant. The public is advised to avoid the area due to hazardous conditions. Please adhere to posted signs, and continue to check ladwpeasternsierra.com for updates on LADWP facility openings and closures.
LADWP personnel will monitor the area.
