LOS ANGELES—Effective today, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Customer Contact Center (1-800-DIAL DWP) hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., and closed on Sundays. As always, agents will remain available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for customers to report an emergency, including water or power outages.
“Adjustments to staffing and our call center’s operating hours is necessary to better align our staffing with the highest call volume hours and move towards best industry practices, but most importantly we anticipate it will help reduce the amount of time our customers are waiting on hold,” said Randy Howard, LADWP Interim Executive Director of Customer Service. “This operational change is part of our commitment to provide the level of service our customers deserve.” The new hours will benefit LADWP customers by having more staff on-duty during the high call volume hours of the day, which will help reduce the amount of time our customers wait to reach a customer service representative. This change to operations affects 1-800-DIAL-DWP, our Customer Contact Center, only. Our regional customer service center hours remain unchanged: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Contacting LADWP Customers with questions about their bill are encouraged to visit any LADWP customer service center on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on any of the scheduled “Bill Resolution Saturdays.” Customers can also contact LADWP online at www.ladwp.com/ContactUs or call 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397). ### |
