WHAT:
The Mayor and representatives of LADWP will officially announce the launch of a new pilot program that enables LADWP customers in single-family residences to purchase the Flume smart home water monitoring device at a substantial discount of $175. Through the program, customers can purchase the device, which costs $199 retail, for a total cost of just $24, shipping and tax not included.
With its down-to-the-minute water usage data, Flume will help LADWP customers track their daily water usage, detect leaks, and identify wasteful water use in their homes. This direct discount program is LADWP’s latest water conservation incentive put into place to help their customers conserve water. In August, customers reduced their use by over 10 percent when compared to August 2021 as the region experiences its third year of drought.
