January 23, 2017 (LOS ANGELES) — As of 12:30 p.m., approximately 9,000 of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) 1.4 million electric customers are affected by power outages as a result of the strong rainstorm moving through the Los Angeles area. The utility is working hard to restore power to all customers as quickly and safely as possible with crews working around the clock in hazardous conditions.
