BIG PINE, CA (May 10, 2023) – Starting Monday, May 15, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will close access to Tinemaha Dam and the Owens River immediately below the reservoir. The closure is due to active construction work at the dam site and also, as a safety precaution due to extremely high flows in the area below the Tinemaha Reservoir.
Closure of the area is expected to last throughout the summer.
