LADWP Crews Work To Restore Power Outages During Heavy Rain Storm |
LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) reports approximately 41,000 of LADWP’s 1.4 million electric customers are experiencing power service interruptions as heavy rain and winds caused outages in several neighborhoods. It is common for rain and wind storms to cause some temporary power outages as dried palm fronds, tree branches and other debris fall and make contact with power lines.
The following communities had the most number of customers impacted:
LADWP crews are working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. The public and members of the media are encouraged to check the Department’s news site and Twitter page for updates. The next outage update will be posted at approximately 11:00 p.m. ### |
