High Winds Expected Across LADWP Service Territory |
LOS ANGELES — The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory for Los Angeles in effect tonight from 11 p.m. until 3 p.m., Saturday, October 5. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) advises customers that during high wind events, reports of power outages may increase due to downed lines from tree branches and other flying debris. LADWP urges customers to stay away from downed power lines and to immediately call 911. In the case of a power outage, customers are asked to report their outage by calling 1-800 DIAL DWP (1-800-342-5397). LADWP crews are ready to respond to any outages, 24/7.
