Five Inyo County High School Students Awarded $2,000 Scholarships

July, 2021 (INYO COUNTY, CA)– This year’s winners of the LADWP and Inyo County Office of Education Scholarship program have been announced. They are: 
  • Wyatt Reedy (Bishop Union HS)
  • Braeden Gillem (Bishop Union HS)
  • Garrett Wilkinson (Lone Pine HS)
  • Miguel Santana (Palisade Glacier HS)
  • Delaney Perpall (Owens Valley HS)
For the second consecutive year, LADWP and Inyo County Office of Education have partnered to sponsor scholarships for graduating high school students of Inyo County of up to five Inyo County High Schools. Each scholarship recipient received $2,000. This year, the Inyo County Office of Education is matching LADWP’s $1,000 contribution per student. 
The main goal of this scholarship is to help bridge the gap in the areas of technical trade skills and encourage the next generation to pursue careers in skilled labor trades like utility workers, woodworking, auto mechanics, welding and IT.
