September 1, 2021 (BISHOP) – Fire restrictions are now in place in Inyo County to help keep the public and firefighters safe.
The Inyo County Board of Supervisors ordered fire restrictions in campgrounds until further notice. The campgrounds affected by this order include: Pleasant Valley; Baker Creek; Tinnemaha; Taboose; Portuguese Joe; Independence; and, Diaz Lake.
Please adhere to posted signs that open fires and stoves are not permitted on City of Los Angeles properties.
Due to the extreme fire danger, limited firefighting resources, and ongoing dry conditions, Inyo National Forest is also temporary closed until September 17.
LADWP reminds visitors and residents of the Eastern Sierra that safety is the priority. Please understand that the temporary forest and County campground closures mean no access; including hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, parking, camping.
