Councilmember Paul Koretz & LADWP to Announce Construction Project Details and Traffic Plan
WHAT:
Media are invited to join Councilman Paul Koretz (CD5) and the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), along with representatives from Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) officials as they announce the start of a major water system infrastructure project to replace a mile of aging water pipeline and detail project’s traffic plan.
This major LADWP infrastructure investment will ensure reliability and increased capacity for the delivery of high quality drinking water to the residents of Los Angeles in the Benedict Canyon area and will include four new fire hydrants for enhanced fire protection capacity in the community.
The partial closure will take place May 1 to November 30, 2018 from Mulholland Drive to Hutton Drive between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on scheduled Saturdays. Benedict Canyon and Liebe Drive will be open to traffic outside of the closure hours.
